What We Believe

We believe that the Holy Bible is the God-inspired word of God, and is the supreme authority for all Christian doctrine, beliefs and practices.

On Mankind and the Law

  • Man was created in the image of God, and God's intention for mankind was to forever dwell in perfect fellowship with them in a paradise.
  • Man became sinful through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and fell and became sinful by nature.
  • The Law was given through Moses to shut every mouth, and to prove once and for all that because of the sins of mankind there was no longer any hope that anyone could be good enough to meet God's standards.
  • The law could not cleanse sinners and was not perfect, but was a shadow of the good things (namely, Jesus) that were to come.

On Jesus Christ & Salvation

  • Jesus Christ came, was born of a virgin and lived the perfect life that we could not live (because He is fully divine), fulfilling the law perfectly being tempted in every area just as we are.
  • Jesus Christ took all the sin of all mankind for all time onto himself, and laid His life down to extend new life to mankind. He took our sin so that we could take His righteousness.
  • Jesus Christ rose from the dead, having first descended into the lower parts of the earth, having lead captives out of captivity. He then ascended to the Father, and was glorified.
  • One hears the word, puts their faith in it, and confesses unto salvation.
  • Salvation is by faith alone, apart from works.
  • We could never be good enough to earn salvation, so we put our faith in what Jesus did in taking our punishment and accept the right-standing with God that Christ provided for us all.
  • We believe spiritual healing is instantly accomplished forever in a believer's life, but healing of the soul and the body are also provided for in Christ's atonement and are available for each believer by faith.

On the Holy Spirit

  • Once ascended, Christ sent the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to empower and reside with the believers.
  • The Holy Spirit expresses the heart of the Father and the Son to us, empowers us to live the victorious Christian life, manifests through us by faith, and is sent to help us to help us in all areas of our Christian walk.
  • He is the part of God that is on earth, active and present in the believer.
  • The baptism the Holy Spirit is available to every believer by faith, apart from works.
  • Through the scripture we learn that once the apostles tarried for the Comforter to be sent - once sent, tarrying is no longer necessary, but faith alone.
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is evident by speaking with tongues, prophecy and/or other manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

On the Gifts of the Spirit

  • The gifts of the Spirit are for every believer and are obtained through ernest desire, and faith, as severally as the Lord wills to each member.
  • The gifts of the Spirit are for edification, exhortation and comfort of the while body of Christ until we all as one body become mature in Christ.
  • The gifts are appropriated by faith, and one becomes more keen to their gifts by exercising them.
  • The gifts of the Spirit are for us, and can be exercised and stirred up.

On Free Will

  • We believe that God loves all people and that Jesus Christ was the atoning sacrifice for all mankind.
  • We believe that anyone who hears the word may respond in faith and receive total forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
  • We believe that through Christ's teachings and examples we see God's will and nature.
  • We believe that's God's will does not automatically happen, but must be cooperated with.

On Our Affiliations

  • We do not follow or acknowledge any present-day manly authorities in the Church and are not affiliated with any denomination.
  • We do not condemn denominations nor endorse them, but believe that for the sake of sect many have been lead astray following after a man - not God.
  • We believe firmly that any time a ministry fails to exalt Jesus Christ as the center-figure of their faith, that ministry group is in error indeed.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple. We want to present people with the Truth about God so they can change their thinking, and move into relationship with God. Our biggest outreach right now is through the web. It is the firm belief of Point2One that God wants us to use the web to reach multitudes with the saving, delivering, empowering, healing, grace-gospel of Jesus Christ. Our main message is God's unconditional love for each and every one of us, and His desire for us to enter into intimate relationship with Him in the here and now. We strongly emphasize God's desire to do good in our lives.

What is Point2One?

Point2One is a primarily web-based non-profit Christian Ministry aimed at reaching the world for Jesus Christ with the awesome news of the Gospel. Love is at the heart of the Gospel because God Himself is love. So love is our mission. Our Goal. Love is greater than riches and miracles and will outlast prophecy and knowledge. While we strongly preach healing and believe in prophecy, these are secondary to love and should only be motivated by love.

What's in the Name?

The name is a little curious, isn't it? It is based in a simple phrase, "Point To One (Jesus)." This is the job of all Christians - to point the way to Jesus Christ. Love is never about self, and Christ showed us the ultimate example of love in dying unselfishly for us. We, therefore, should unselfishly live for Him and in all things good give credit to Jesus who has made us possessors of all things by His strength and power.

About the Author

The author for Point2One is a young American man who, in the summer of 2003, had an encounter with God that radically changed his thinking. As he came to know the true nature of God he found in His word, everything he thought he knew about God suddenly became a lie.

What he found was a God who loves us more than we are able to understand, and who wants each us to enter into relationship with Him. This was a complete change from what he had thought about God, and he felt the need to share about his new found truth with whoever would listen. So, the fall of 2004, he created this website to share about the God he had found and to counter some of the religious lies that he had been in bondage to for so long.

He is the first to ackowledge that he still has much to learn about His new friend, and is constantly asking God questions and waiting for answers that do inevitably come. Intimacy in relationship is knowing someone on a deep level. This is how God wants us to know Him. He is a God who answers questions and reveals Himself to us, not a distant, untouchabel God who hides himself from us.
